Mark Macy began his legal training as a claims representative with Travelers Insurance Company from 1976 – 1980 while attending law school at the University of Detroit. After graduating from law school, he immediately moved to the Rocky Mountains west of Denver and began the practice of law in 1981. After five years as house counsel for Travelers, he was lucky enough to become employed with the then law firm of Watson, Nathan & Bremer in 1986 and has been a shareholder with Nathan, Bremer, Dumm & Myers since 1988.
Mark defends all types of insurance defense matters including automobile liability, a wide variety of personal injury claims, commercial and industrial accident litigation, outdoor related litigation, employment discrimination and has vast experience defending complex single and multi-family construction defect litigation.
After having been a participant in hundreds of mediations over the years, Mark completed a 40 hour mediation course with the Institute for Advanced Dispute Resolution. He offers mediation and arbitration services in all types of civil and administrative disputes including, but not limited to, construction defect, personal injury, employment and workers' compensation matters.
Mark has been married to his wife, Pam, for 30 years and has raised three children and is an elite level adventure racer and ultra marathoner. Among other events, he has completed the Eco-Challenge adventure race eight times, the Leadville 100 running and mountain bikes races, the Badwater 146 (146 miles across Death Valley to the summit of Mt. Whitney in July), is a four time winner of the Susitna 100 snowshoe race (100 miles on the Iditarod trail in Alaska) and many other extreme races in jungles, deserts, and mountains around the world.
